Mr. Robot is an American drama thriller television series created by Sam Esmail (owner of Esmail Corp).

This drama has two production companies: Universal Cable Production (UCP) and Anonymous Content.

Universal Cable is a TV production company operating within the NBC Universal Broadcast, Cable, Sports, and News, other shows produced include: 'Suits', 'The Purge' and 'In Plain Sight'.

Anonymous Content is an entertainment company founded in 1999 by CEO Steve Golin. Other shows this company have produced include: '13 Reasons why', 'True Detective', etc.

The audience that both these production companies made the shows for are teenagers to young adults.

Mr. Robot has received critical acclaim and has been nominated for and won awards, including the Golden Globe for Best Television Drama Series and was recognized with a Peabody Award. In 2016, the series received six Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series with Malek winning for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.
